ABOUT ME
I’m a product designer living in the Seattle area where I have been doing human-centered design at companies big and small. I use design thinking in most aspects of professional life – from feature work, to building teams, to meeting goals.
The bulk of my experience has centered around two-sided marketplaces, with a focus on the consumer side. I’ve also built tools for the supply side and pure B2B scenarios. Any problem can be interesting, but I do like the added pressure of making fans of people who have a choice in the products that they use.
Before getting into design, I earned a degree in welding and worked as a metal fabricator. Construction work fostered craftsmanship, the importance of teamwork, and the art of practical improvisation. Job sites were never 1:1 with blueprints – there were always unforeseen challenges that required creative and practical adaptations. I’m proud to carry these traits forward in my work today.
Outside of work, the threads of craft, improvisation, and teamwork continue. You’ll find me making music, riding boards, and climbing things with friends and family.
